Pianist and Composer Christian Smith bridges the worlds of jazz, ambient music, and minimalist classical composition. Drawing inspiration from the introspective harmonies of Bill Evans, the atmospheric soundscapes of Brian Eno, and the restrained beauty of Philip Glass, Christian’s compositions are inspired by identifiable human themes that are familiar to us all. As a releasing artist Christian’s compositions have accumulated millions of streams across all major music Platforms.
In a professional capacity, Christian’s work has been featured in Film, TV and Radio including the BBC, BBC Radio 4 and Scala Radio. In a global setting Christian’s compositions April Waltz and Into the Dawn have been used by international broadcasters in the United States, China, and across Europe. Christian’s most celebrated achievement to date was when his music featured on a promotional short for his beloved hometown of Portsmouth. This video was played as a part of the 75th International D-Day Commemorations where World Leaders and UK Royalty were in attendance.
Working out of his own professional home studio, Christian is totally self sufficient, and can deliver fully mixed and mastered scores.
